Dr Brijesh Patel BDS (Hons), MSc, MFDS RCS, MOrth RCS, FDS (Orth) RCS

Brij is our practice principal and is also a Consultant Orthodontist at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London. He is actively involved in research and his particular interests include the treatment of patients with congenital facial deformity. He has published scientific papers and has recently co-authored a book chapter. In addition he has presented his research at national and international conferences and is actively involved in teaching orthodontics at a post-graduate level. He has a special interest in the management of complex multi-disciplinary cases, obstructive sleep apnoea and accepts referrals for all orthodontic problems affecting adults and children and where appropriate provides treatment utilizing a variety of orthodontic appliances including: cosmetic ceramic braces, self-ligating 'Damon' braces, and hidden lingual braces.
Dr Sadaf Khan BSC (Hons), BDS (Hons), MFDSRCS, MSc, MOrth RCS, FDS (Orth) RCS

Sadaf is a Consultant Orthodontist at the Eastman Dental Hospital in London and the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and works as a specialist orthodontist at the Hitchin Orthodontic practice. He is involved with and has presented clinical research at national and international meetings and teaches orthodontic postgraduates. In addition he is a committee member on the education committee of the British Orthodontic Society. Sadaf is looking forward to working with general dental practitioners in the area to provide routine orthodontic treatment for NHS patients as well as the joint management of ortho-restorative cases. He is happy to provide adult orthodontics and is Invisalign certified as well as a certified provider for the incognito lingual appliance.
Dr Sophia Wahla BDS, MFDS RCS, MSc, MOrth RCS, FDS (Orth) RCS

Sophia Wahla is a specialist Orthodontist who is trained to Hospital Consultant level. She qualified as a dentist at Glasgow University in 2000 and subsequently continued her professional development by gaining experience in a variety of dental disciplines including paediatric dentistry, and oral and maxillofacial surgery. Sophia undertook her specialist orthodontic training at Guy’s Hospital, London where she was also awarded her Masters in Orthodontics. Sophia then trained further academically and clinically mainly in treating cases requiring multidisciplinary care such as Hypodontia Orthognathic Surgery at King’s College Hospital, London. She was awarded a Fellowship in Orthodontics by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Sophia loves being an orthodontist, and finds it especially rewarding working with young children and seeing first hand the improvement in their dental aesthetics and confidence at a critical stage in their development. She also enjoys the challenges of adult orthodontics and can provide a range of aesthetic brace options. She is committed to delivering excellent aesthetics and providing a high quality of clinical care to her patients.
Dr Rajeshree Shah BDS, MSc

Raju qualified as a dentist from the University of Bristol in 1988 and subsequently completed a Masters degree in paediatric dentistry from the University of London. She developed her interest in orthodontics and gained vast experience through working in various orthodontic departments both in the community and hospital service. She has been an orthodontist at the practice since 2003 and has a particular interest in treating anxious children and improving their self-esteem by creating a great smile.
